Welcome to the exciting game of ice hockey! We offer youth Learn to Play (LTP) sessions each week all year round during school terms and we use a concession card system so your player can come to whichever sessions work best for your family. We play at the Alpine Ice Sports Centre at 495 Brougham Street, Christchurch.

No ice hockey experience necessary. We look forward to introducing both players and parents to a great game where kids can have fun, meet new friends, and get some exercise. And we offer a free LTP session for children new to ice hockey, gear included, so you can see if hockey might be right for your child. Just complete the form below to get started.

New to ice skating? Before you consider trying ice hockey, children should be comfortable with a basic ability to skate forward. If your child is new to ice skating, Alpine Ice Sports Centre offers an excellent Learn to Skate program, which your child can take before giving ice hockey a go.
