Canterbury's Premier Women's Team
The Canterbury Inferno play in the New Zealand Women's Ice Hockey League (NZWIHL), which consists of 4 regional franchises competing across New Zealand in in winter.
The NZWIHL showcases the top women's hockey talent New Zealand has to offer, with each team supplemented by a limited number of overseas players to expose players and fans to different playing styles and levels of skill. Besides competing in the NZWIHL, many Inferno players, past and present, also represent New Zealand in world competitions.
